We all seemed to be in the doom and gloom facing a bleak xmas where 20% of the UK population were going to be wiped out by the dangerous Swine Flu......

Then it all stopped!

Do people still get "Swine Flu" or do Doctors just give you antibiotics and call it summer flu now?

dunno,a friend of mine had flu a while back and she asked the doctor about swine flu,doc said dont worry its not that,just told her to keep an eye on her symptoms didnt give her tammiflu,so makes you wonder doesnt it?

Having said that you know Brookes friend died last year,well she had swine flu,but whose to say even if she got normal flu it would of been same outcome?

In winter 1999/2000 something like 20,000 ppl died of normal flu........

Flu is one of the bigger killers in the world. Especially with those with a low immune system or the old who can develop other complications such as pneumonia etc.

Just find it strange how we were preparing to dig mass graves to cope with the bodies, then its a little notice in the doctors surgery that "the helpline is closing down now its no longer needed!" :s

Surely it didnt just mutate into a ladybird or something haha, surely it must still be out there as some sort of strain!

Oh well, first bird flu, then swine flu..... I am hanging on for Horse Flu where all the males grow uber-large dongs!!!! Now that would be worth catching
